School closure as a result of COVID-19
Dear parents,
The evolving situation facing us with the global spread of COVID-19 is unprecedented and as such decisions have to be made for the safety of all of our school community; pupils, parents and staff alike.
After much consultation, with a range of stakeholders, the Board of Governors and I have decided that the school will stay closed for the remainder of the week.
During this period, we will monitor the situation which seems to be evolving continuously.
There may well be a Government announcement about the way forward for schools within this timeframe. If not we will communicate further in due course as to whether we will open on Monday 23rd March.
Professionally we are very aware of the educational needs of our children, however the safety of our community, including our pupils, families and staff supersede all other responsibilities. We must all work collectively to do whatever we can to curtail the spread of the virus.
Please continue to follow all guidelines that are available in the media as we strive to stem the spread of the coronavirus, also please be responsible and look after one another, especially the older generation and all those who are vulnerable in any way.
We place our trust in God as we pray and support each other at this challenging time.
Thank you for your continued support and stay safe.
