P7 prepare for Confirmation with a retreat to Lough Derg!
Some photos of our Confirmation retreat with St. Dympna's PS at Lough Derg. We were blessed with a nice day and what a fantastic place to visit. It was very worthwhile and I hope the children got alot from their day there and enjoyed it!
They took part in a number of activities based on fun and faith including the gifts/ fruits of the Holy Spirit, prayer, visiting St. Patrick's church, a tour of Lough Derg and creating their jam jars/ prayers.
Plus a trip to the shop of course to spend the money and euros on some lovely gifts!
The relics of Carlo Acutis were also present in Lough Derg and the children got to see this. We have been talking alot about Carlo recently in class, his life and how he is an inspiration for others. Soon to become a saint!
